If you’ve ever wondered how music drives someone’s focus, energy, or even their heart, here’s a glimpse from Gaelin’s world. In this post, he’s sharing the playlist that keeps him moving, focused, and in rhythm with his day—maybe it’ll inspire your own playlist, ritual, or give a little insight into how he tackles life here in Glenn Arbor.

“Why Music Matters“

Alright, so Klara insisted I do this post. Don’t get used to it, but here we are. This is the playlist that gets me through a workout—or just helps me stay focused when I’ve got a wall to mount, some panels to line up, or anything that requires my brain and muscles to work together. Music is how I keep my head in the game, and honestly… it’s part of how I show up for myself and the people I care about.

Warm-Up / Getting in the Zone

  • Stick Stickly by Attack Attack — gets the blood moving, gets me in the mindset.

Heavy Lifting / Compound Moves

  • Welcome Home by Coheed and Cambria — favorite for squats.

  • Watch the World Burn by Falling in Reverse — perfect for deadlifts, bench, rows… whatever I’m hitting that day.

  • Zombified & Voices in My Head by Falling in Reverse — keeps the energy up when I’m really pushing myself.

Other Heavy Lifts

  • Doomed by Bring Me the Horizon

  • Mortal by Daedric

Cardio / High-Energy Moves

  • Anything by Bilmuri, especially the American Motorsports album — gets my heart rate up and keeps me in the zone.

Cool Down / Stretching

  • Hikari by Oceans Ate Alaska — wraps it up, lets me bring my focus back down and breathe a little.

I don’t always do cardio—it’s its own day—but this playlist keeps me moving, focused, and in sync whether I’m pushing through heavy lifts, setting up something at the studio, or just trying to get through the day with a clear head.

Music isn’t just noise; it’s rhythm, it’s energy, it’s control. It keeps me centered and reminds me to breathe even when life wants to throw a curveball. It’s my method, my ritual, my quiet focus—my way of showing up fully.”
